Allison Hayn

Executive Director, Dancefx, Inc.
Director of Dancefx Concert Dance Company, FX2 and FX3 Dance Companies

After four years working at world renouned Broadway Dance Center in New York City and The PULSE on Tour featuring SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE celebrity choreographers, Hayn takes over as Executive Director of Dancefx Athens in August of 2009.

Atlanta native Hayn has taught for Broadway Dance Center's (BDC) Children and Teen Program in New York City, currently serves as Producer of The PULSE On Tour, and Retail Director and Merchandiser for BDC in addition to appearing in and choreographing photo shoots for Capezio and Frontline Dancewear and working as a freelance instructor, dancer and choreographer throughout New York City and Atlanta. Working closely with Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Dave Scott, Wade Robson, Cris Judd, Tyce Diorio, Desmond Richardson, Gil Duldulao, Brooke Lipton, Robert Hoffman, Shane Sparks and Laurie Ann Gibson, Hayn brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, cutting-edge innovation and opportunity to the Athens dance community and Dancefx family.

Before moving to New York, Allison spent five years with Dancefx, as a dancer, instructor and choreographer in addition to serving as Assistant Director of Dancefx, Inc. Hayn was instrumental in the opening of Dancestyle Dancewear and establishing the Dancefx Studio Youth Program. As a Dancefx Concert Dance Company Member, she's performed at the Jazz Dance World Congress in 2002 and 2004, Jazz on Tap (2001-2004), DanceAthens Dance Festival (2000-2004) and Dancefx's FX Spring Concert (2001-2005). With over 25 years dance experience, Hayn has studied with Luigi in New York City and the Jump Rhythm Jazz Project in Chicago in addition to her work in New York City. Grace Bagwell Adams


Hip-Hop, Tap, Modern

Director of Modern Pin-Ups and Dancefx's Tap Company

Grace Bagwell is the founding director of the Modern
Pin-Ups and the Dancefx Tap Company.  She has been with the Dancefx Athens family since 2008, and enjoys teaching tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop.  Grace is originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina where she received her training.  An alumna of Converse College, she is a proud supporter of empowering women through creative energy, dance, and performance.  Grace believes in continuing education, annually attending dance class and workshops such as the Pulse NYC.  She also contributes her talents to community engagement with organizations such as Project Safe's Dancing With the Athens Stars event and Stomp Out Domestic Violence.

Hannah Aldredge



Hannah Aldredge, an Atlanta native, has been dancing since the age of three and is trained in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and tap.  She began dancing under the direction of Stephen Ball and Bethany Hayes Smith and regularly frequented the convention/competition circuit.  In 2012, she began performing with Muse Dance Company based out of Los Angeles under the leadership of Jessica Starr. Through this company she received the opportunity to perform in a Carnival Choreographers Ball performance in Los Angeles and the current issue campaign by Muse Dance Company which was focused on pressing present day problems for young people. Hannah also was given the opportunity to work for Celebrity Dance Competition as an assistant to notable choreographers in classes as well as to the staff of the competition during the 2012 National Competition season. She also trained extensively under Cherrise Wakeham and Project Seven Contemporary Dance Company members throughout her years.  In 2013, she began attending the University of Georgia pursuing a dual degree in marketing and finance. She now teaches youth and adult classes at Dancefx Athens and is a member of the Dancefx Concert Dance Company.  “Dancefx has quickly become my second home.  To me it is an open space that provides the environment to fulfill the passion I have for teaching my students and simultaneously better myself as a dancer.”

Brittany Couch

Brittany Couch



Brittany grew up in southern Georgia and began dancing at the age of 4 at her hometown studio Regina's School of Dance. She has trained in Tap, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Pointe and Jazz. She competed with the Southern Dazzle Dance Company for several years before moving to Warner Robins, GA. There she discovered musical theatre and began participating in high school and community shows in any way possible, including choreographing.

Brittany found Dancefx her freshman year through The Red Hotz, The University of Georgia's only competitive dance team. Since then, she has continued her training here at Dancefx Athens as a veteran member of the Dancefx Concert Dance Company while pursuing her degree in Mass Media Arts and a certificate in Music Business.

Natalie Cox


Ballroom and Latin Dance

Director of Ballroom Dance and Contact Dance Company, Dancefx

Natalie Cox is the Director of Contact Dance Company at Dancefx, is Artistic Director of UGA's Ballroom Performance group (BPG), teaches The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education, and performs and teaches at various other venues around Northeast Georgia. Most recently, she was a judge for Project Safe's Dancing With Athens Stars, and her accolades include 2009 and 2010 awards from DWAS where she partnered with 5 and 10 chef Hugh Acheson- check it out! Natalie received her A.B. from the University of Georgia in 2003 and her J.D. from the University of Georgia in 2006. While at UGA, she was a member of the UGA's BPG from 2002-2006 and served as president her last year. Notable annual performances include DanceAthens, the Dancefx Spring Concert at the Morton Theatre in Athens, Georgia, and the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina.

Continual training is very important to Natalie; she annually attends dance camps such as the Adult Ballroom Camp at Brigham Young University and the Independence Day Ball Camp in Washington, D.C. During her travels, she has had the great fortune of taking lessons from ballroom greats such as Ron Montez, Jean Marc Genereux & France Mousseau, Pierre Allaire & Mireille Veilleux, Karina Smirnoff, and Tomas Mielnicki & J.T. Miranda Dahl

Contemporary, Jazz, Elementary Combo

Miranda Dahl has been a part of the Dancefx community since her first dance steps at age eight. A current member of the FX2 performance company, she has also participated in several competitions and conventions such as BravO!, Open Call, and The Pulse on Tour. During the summer of 2009, Miranda attended the American Dance Festival immersion program, studying modern, ballet, hip hop, and African technique. She is always excited to share her love of dance with her students. 



Lara Davis





Lara Davis began her dance training at age four at the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance in Roswell, Georgia where she was a member of the student company for eight years. She has trained with the American Ballet Theatre, the Rock School, the Joffrey Ballet School, the Colorado Conservatory of Dance, the National Choreography Intensive, and the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. She has performed with Refuge Dance Company and Dance Canvas, INC. in Atlanta and has choreographed for Gainesville Ballet Company, the Roswell Dance Theatre, and the award-winning student short film “capriole”. Her contemporary pointe piece “Escape” was selected to be performed at the Emerging Choreographer’s Showcase at the 2013 South Eastern Regional Ballet Association Festival. Additionally, she has worked as an arts administration intern the past three summers with organizations such as Dance Canvas, INC., Regional Dance America, and the Joffrey Ballet School. She is currently pursuing degrees in Dance Science and Psychology at the University of Georgia and is involved in the UGA Dance Department as a dance minor.


Asela Eatenson



 Asela Eatenson is originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico but has moved all around the United States to receive ballet training.Asela has had the honor to take classes from some of the most well known ballerinas such as Gelsey Kirkland. Asela started her intense training at the age of 8 and continued training until she was 15 years old. She has trained with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Houston Ballet, Kirov Academy of Ballet, and the International City School of Ballet. Asela has also received training from the American Ballet Theatre, the Bolshoi Academy, and Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet.Asela's training was put on hold because of high school and starting teaching ballet in Athens. Asela spends most of her time training to become an aerialist at Canopy Studios and enjoys teaching dance to all ages. Asela believes that for dancers to improve it is crucial that they have a solid understanding of proper technique but the artistic aspect of dance is just as important. 





Erika Douglas Greene


Beginning Adult Ballet, Pointe

Erika grew up dancing in at the Athens School of Ballet and performed with the Athens Ballet Theatre for over 20 years. She studied under Janet Robertson and Marianne Hale. She also participated in workshops with Ron Colton and Joan Buttram. She not only danced with the Athens Ballet Theatre but served as Assistant Artistic Director and Stage Manager. Today, Erika is a full time special education teacher, and a mother of two little boys. She continues to stay involved in the dance community by teaching ballet and stage managing. Come join her adult ballet class- a class perfect for those who have stepped away from ballet and want to return and a great opportunity for those who want to give ballet a try.


Chelsea Johnson

Chelsea Johnson

Pre-K, Elementary Combo, Soundfx


Chelsea set her feet on the stage at age 2 and never stopped performing. She has been trained in ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, clogging and tap. She received most of her training from Fara Fox Tyree School of Dance before spending three years at Dancer's Pointe under the direction of Danielle Bridgewater. She has performed in several productions of the Nutcracker, The Snow Maiden, Sleeping Beauty, Firebird and An American in Paris. She was a company member of the Winchester Dance Ensemble where she performed in various community festivals, parades, shows and competitions. She trained with the Louisville Ballet Company and the Lexington Ballet Company in Kentucky. She also has training in musical theater and has been a featured dancer in musicals such as Wicked, Chicago, High School Musical and A Chorus Line. Chelsea currently is a fourth year at the University of Georgia studying Health Education. She also is the Vice President of UGA's tap team, the TapDawgs, and the Dance Coordinator for Mission:Athens with Beech Haven Baptist Church.


Kaitlin Reinhardt




Director Of Dancefx Apprentice Concert Dance Company and XCEL

Kaitlin grew up in Nashville, TN and began dancing at the age of 5. As member of the Green Hills School of Dance company, she received extensive training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Pointe and competed nationally for 9 years.

Kaitlin is extremely involved in the Athens community and has worked and choreographed for a number of local events such as Dancing With the Athens Stars, Athens Regional Medical Center's Pink Glove Video, and Athfest.

Kaitlin began working at Dancefx right after graduating from UGA. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an emphasis on human anatomy and physiology. Kaitlin is the director of Dancefx's Youth Program and Apprentice Company, and she co-directs Dancefx's Concert Dance Company. 


Janet Robertson


Intermediate/Advanced Ballet

Janet Robertson has been teaching with Dancefx since its inception, and has been an faculty member at the University of Georiga Dance Department since 1985, primarily basing her teaching methods and philosophy on the years she spent working with Stanley Zompakos, former member of NYCB. Her training was further enhanced, having been coached for performances by Anna Sokolow and Ernestine Stodelle.

Robertson shares her many talents with the Athens community as a guest teacher and choreographer and for the East Athens Educational Dance Center; as guest choreographer for the UGA Ballet Ensemble; in collaboration with Peggy Thrasher; and as an actress and set decorator with the Town & Gown Players. She recently finished a series of 20 videos for the Carl Vinson Institute of Government's research project on mediation and conflict resolution under Peggy Herrman and Jerry Gale. Robertson was given the Dance Athens 2004 Award for Excellence by the Athens dance community. Robertson holds an A.F.A. in Dance from Sullins College, where she trained under Valentina Belova, a B.A. in Art and an M.A.T., both from Lynchburg College in Virginia. She recently served on the dance panel of the Georgia Council for the Arts.





LaDarius Michael Thomas has been an instructor with Dancefx Athens for 2 years, specializing in Hip-Hop and Latin Dance.
LaDarius began his dance career at the age of 18 while attending The University of Georgia. During his time at the university, LaDarius played key roles as a choreographer and production designer for Pamoja Dance Company and Georgia Dymes and Xtreme Dance Company. He, later, joined the UGA Ballroom Performance Group where he developed smooth and Latin tecnique under the direction of Michael Fulford and Natalie Cox.
LaDarius has since been very involved in the Athens dance community, including appearances in: Dancing with the Athens Stars (a premier fundraising event for Project Safe Inc.); CONTACT Ballroom Dance Company at Dancefx; D-COY Dance Crew; Athens Latin and More.
LaDarius holds a B.A. in Theatre from The University of Georgia, with a concentration in sound design.
