Dancefx offers various company opportunities for beginner through professional dancers to gain exposure, perform, and entertain audiences throughout Athens, GA and the Southeast. CONCERT DANCE COMPANY
Under the direction of Allison Smith and Kaitlin Butcher, CONCERT DANCE COMPANY performs jazz and contemporary choreography through the Athens area. Performances include the DanceATHENS Dance Festival, Grace: An Evening of Elegance & Introspection, the Dancefx Spring Concert, our annual storybook show and more.
We're also proud to offer our XPANSE, XHIBITION, XPRESSION, & TRAINING company levels under the direction of Chelsea Harney and Brittney Seabolt.
UPCOMING AUDITION: Prep class on Tuesday, August 20th at 8:30pm and Audition on Thursday, August 22nd at 8:30pm. FREE. Please bring a photo if we don’t know you well! All levels welcome, and we’ll take as many people as we can!
If you’d like, you can bring an optional short solo.

CONTACT DANCE
CONTACT Dance Company is made up of five to ten couples with advanced ballroom dance expertise and a desire to perform. Under the direction of Natalie Cox, CONTACT blends traditional ballroom dances with elements of theatre arts, reaching audiences desiring a dance element for their social event, public workshop, or musical showcase.
CONTACT performs at various community events, including the DanceATHENS Dance Festival in the Fall, Jingle Ball in December, Ballroom Magic in Spring, and the Dancefx Spring Shows and Concerts in March and April.
CONTACT is available for workshops, private events, group and private lessons, and outreach performances. To book CONTACT, email natalie@dancefx.org.

REVOLUTION
REVOLUTION Salsa Company is Dancefx's salsa & bachata performance group. Made up of new and experienced salsa dancers, REVOLUTION offers continued training in salsa and bachata partner work, technique, and styling. SWEET DREAMS
If you are auditioning for the Sweet Dreams Advanced company, you are required to bring a 30 second solo of your choice.
SWEET DREAMS is Dancefx's hip-hop performance company under the direction of Devin Dennis. Performance opportunities include DanceATHENS, the Dancefx spring concert, UGA campus events, and more. Past credits include the Athens Hip-Hop Awards, Athens Fashion Week, and the Pulse on Tour.
Sweet Dreams also offers APPRENTICE COMPANY and BEAUTIFUL NIGHTMARES, a beginning-level hip hop company.

THE VIXENS
Members of ViXens explore the power of femininity through a variety of dance styles from LA-style heels to Broadway musical theatre under the direction of Talia Dobbins. The main mission of ViXens is to inspire dancers’ confidence in their own sensuality within choreography they learn throughout the year. Performances include DanceATHENS Dance Festival, Grace: A Night of Elegance and Introspection, the Dancefx Spring Concert, the Sweet Dreams Show, and other opportunities throughout the Athens area as they arise.

THE BOMBSHELLS
Dancefx’s BOMBSHELLS Burlesque group welcomes people who want to harness their unique power, create and perform sultry choreography, and join a community of incredible individuals. Ages 18 and up only. No experience is needed, and different levels will be highlighted in varying numbers. There will be opportunities for company member choreography.

SYNAPSE
Synapse is a brand new contemporary ballet company based out of Dancefx in Athens, GA with a fresh take on classical choreography. Synapse is looking for strong ballet dancers aged 13 and up of all genders- some pointe work will be included, but pointe work is not mandatory. Directed by Sydney Luff of the Charleston Ballet Theater, Synapse's new works will be debuted at the DanceATHENS Dance Festival in October at The Morton Theatre. This company is for dancers looking for upper level classwork and repertoire that surpasses opportunities that are currently available for ballet dancers in Athens.
Synapse company members will be required to take two ballet classes per week, and attend weekly rehearsals on Sunday at 6pm, and youth dancers at Dancefx can add these hours to their tuition rate.
AUDITION: The audition will be on Sunday, August 25th at 6-7pm and it's free- bring ballet and pointe shoes (where applicable) and dress for a ballet audition.
