THE #DFXFAM'S IMPACT IN THE CLASSIC CITY

Concert Dance Company members perform Dancefx’s production of Moana for students at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School in Athens, Georgia.

Dancefx brings Storybook shows to Athens Elementary Schools for 11th straight year!

In an effort to promote access to live arts and physical activity, Dancefx company dancers bring their annual storybook dance opera, featuring fairy tales and favorites like Frozen and The Lion King, to elementary schools in Athens-Clarke County.

During their full-length public performances of storybook shows at the historical downtown Morton Theater, $5.00 community tickets are offered to the community for select matinee shows.

Project Safe's Dancing with the Athens Stars

For more than a decade, Dancefx community and staff members have proudly participated in Project Safe's annual fundraising event, Dancing with the Athens Stars. Our studio dancers, teachers, and administrators often take on roles as the 'stars' or as the stars' dance partners, showcasing their talents and dedication to supporting this important cause. By participating in this event, we help raise awareness and funds for Project Safe, an organization committed to ending domestic violence in our community.

Project Safe is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to end domestic violence through crisis intervention, ongoing supportive services, systems change advocacy, and prevention and education. Project Safe’s primary service area is Madison County, Oconee County, Clarke County, and Oglethorpe County, but provides services to people from all over Georgia. Join us in celebrating the spirit of giving and the joy of dance as we contribute to making a positive impact in Athens-Clarke County.
